Stars of Tomorrow in this weekend's Westfalian OnLive Foal Auction - Bidding Closes on 3 August 2024

Westphalian OnLive foal auction presents stars of tomorrow

From foal to top athlete: that is the motto of the Westphalian Studbook in the next days. On Saturday, August 3, the stage at the Westphalian Horse Centre belongs to the dressage acrobats. Auctioneer Thomas Münch will then put 110 foals with strong movement under the hammer.

Parallel to the Olympic Games taking place in Paris, offspring of the Olympians will be presented to a large audience for the first time in Münster-Handorf - but certainly not for the last time!

Dressage Foals with Olympic Pedigrees

As last year, the lot of dressage foals will be opened by a son of the double World Champion and current Olympic participant Glamourdale. With the characteristic name Galmourdale Jr. (breeder and exhibitor: Kamon Takada, Hamelin), the black colt will open the auction spectacle of 110 dressage foals on Saturday afternoon. His dam Verb.Pr.St. Fiona is a daughter of the successful Fürstenball. The dam herself was successful in dressage competitions.

Glamourdale Jr
The first filly entering the auction ring on Saturday is head number 2 Fräulein Philippa by Feliciano (breeder: Agnes Beckhoff, Rietberg; exhibitor: Matthias Beckhoff, Rietberg). Her dam St.Pr.St. Baccardi Breeze is none other than a fullsister to the licensed stallion Baccardi. She also successfully competed in young horse dressage competitions.

Pony Stars

In addition to riding horse foals, the highly interesting auction lot includes riding pony foals. Five dressage-orientated riding pony foals will enhance the auction on Saturday afternoon. One of those is Golden Legacy with the head number 5 (breeder and exibitor: Alicia Mengelkamp, Lippetal). The son of Golden Grey NRW/FS Champion de Luxe is a fullbrother to Gold Garant. The champion stallion of the Westphalian riding pony licensing was also sold at a Westphalian foal auction once fort he sensational price of 37,000 euros.

Golden Legacy
The auction lot will be completed by a small German riding horse. The son of the champion stallion Gold Garant was bred by Volker and Lukas Kückelhaus, Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde, out of Esperada by Escolar. The mare descents from the successful line of the licensed stallion Lissaro von der Helle, who was victorious three times in a row at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf.
