Canada will be fielding two combinations at the 2024 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo, The Netherlands on 3 - 8 September 2024.

Beatrice Boucher has been selected with the 5-year old KWPN mare On Fire (by Indian Rock out of Jewel D. E. (Davino V.O.D x Belissimo M). She is bred by R. van Rooijen in Alphen aan de Rijn.

On Fire went to the KWPN mare inspection in Kootwijkerbroek in July 2022. She got acquired by Canadian Gilles Bergeron and Canadian Olympian Camille Carier Bergeron and the ride allocated to Beatrice Boucher, who saddle broke her. On Fire was submitted to the Canadian 2023 Young Horse Development Program Dressage with Camille listed as rider and retained for the program in 2024 but then with Beatrice Boucher mentioned as rider. Boucher and On Fire got their international qualification scores for Ermelo at their first CDI in Wellington, Florida at the end of March, scoring 78.800 in the preliminary test and 81.800 in the Finals test.

For the 7-year old division Tanya Strasser-Shostak has been nominated with Mr. Morrison OLD, an Oldenburg by Morricone x Florestan x Sandro Song. The horse was first competed in Germany by Katharina Heine in 2021 and 2022 before moving to Canada. He is co-owned by Gestüt Bonhomme GmbH & Co.KG and Evi Strasser. Tanya qualified for Ermelo 2023 via national shows and made her international show debut on the horse at last year's WCYH. This year the horse did not compete internationally but qualified through national shows.
