A change has taken place in the Belgian team for the 2024 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo (NED) next week (4 -8 September).

The 7-year old pair, Pieter Foets and Romina van het Kolisbos, have withdrawn.  The Belgian warmblood mare  (by Glamourdale x Camus) is not fit to compete.

This means that the first reserve, Patricia Mannerts and Dalton van de Philarina Hoeve, will be substituting.

This pair will also set a precedent as it will be the first Friesian pair every to compete at the World Young Horse Championships. Dalton is by Alwin 469 x Norbert 444 x Goffert 369). Mannaerts discovered the stallion as a 3-year old.

It's a dream come true," Patricia told KFPS. "He's very relaxed and always wants to work. The atmosphere at the World Championships will fit him well as it makes him sharp."

Dalton is bred by the Back family in Hardenberg, The Netherlands.
