Swedish young riders team member Mary-Sophie Haid-Bondergaard has welcomed a new schoolmaster in her barn for her path towards Under 25.
In June the 17-year old Westfalian St. Louis arrived in her barn. St. Louis is a gelding by Sandro Hit out of Uniek Queen (by Florett As x Democraat). He is bred by Annebeth Reesink-Brouwer in The Netherlands.
Licensed Stallion
The black was licensed at the 2009 Westfalian stallion licensing in Munster-Handorf.
He did his 30-day performance test in Munster a year later in November 2010 and scored 8.93 for dressage and 7.36 for show jumping to finish on a total of 7.74 points.
He only stood up for stud briefly and just two daughters of his are registered as broodmare with the German FN. In sport there are 6 offspring registered with the 2011 born Schocko Choclate (Emily Feldmann, Kerstin Kohler) having competed him in dressage and jumping at lower level.
Senta Kirchhoff
He was first shown in Germany in 2011 by Kris De Doncker.
St. Louis made his mark as a sport horse though after he was acquired by Senta Kirchhoff.
She showed him briefly in 2016 at medium tour and developing Grand Prix level in Ankum, Schenefeld and Donaueschingen. He was shown in one international in the Inter A and B test at the 2016 CDI Saumur, placing second twice.
U25 Schoolmaster
In June Mary-Sophie Haid-Bondergaard brought St. Louis to her barn in Sweden on loan.
"Thank you Senta and Henri for trusting in me with this special boy," said Mary. "I promise to take the best care of him." Kirchhoff wrote that they "seem to be a god match and I’m happy that he is in so good and caring hands."
Haid-Bondergaard recently competed on the Swedish team at the 2023 European Young Riders Championships in St. Margarethen (AUT). Aboard Adora Nightingale (by Ampere x Regazzoni) she was 7th with the team and 32nd in the individual test.
Mary-Sophie has alread been competing at Grand Prix level since 2022 on her mom Charlotte's former Grand Prix horse, the now 19-year old Roberto des Frettes.
