Clara Paschertz, a multiple European Children Championship medal winner, competed at the 2024 German Youth Riders Championships on catch ride For Gold OLD.

For Gold OLD is a 10-year old Oldenburg stallion by Franziskus out of Weihcera (by Zack x Don Schufro). He is bred by Next Generation Sport Horses.

For Gold was licensed at the 2016 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta.

He was first competed by Marina Welbers in 2018 before Stefanie Wolf took over in 2018. He was originally listed as owned by Wolf in partnership with her then employer and coach, Johann Hinnemann.

Wolf competed him at the 2019 World Young Horse Championships and placed 9th in the 5-year old finals. An 11-month break from showing followed for them to return and win the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Munster. They did not ride the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, though.

After a two-year break from showing, between August 2020 and June 2022, For Gold returned at M-level in Troisdorf. Wolf moved him up to Prix St Georges level by the end of that year. In 2023 they competed in some Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers (Elmlohe, Gorlitz) and the horse's ownership changed into Stefanie's name that summer.

She debuted him at international small tour level at the 2024 CDI Tolbert, where they were three times in the top five. Her last national show on him was in August in Görlitz.

For Gold OLD returned to the competition arena two weeks ago at the 2024 German Youth Championships (DJM) in Riesenbeck under 17-year old junior rider Clara Paschertz.

Paschertz was member of the German team at the European Children Championships in 2019 (on Belvedere) and in 2020 and 2021 (on Danubio OLD). She won twice team gold and double silver. As of 2022 she competed on ponies internationally (Celebration WE, Da Capo's Dancing Boy), but also showed her talent in show jumping.

Clara has been alternating between jumping and dressage competitions for the past two years. Her most recent CDI start was in Hagen in June at junior level with Danubio.

In Riesenbeck, however, she premiered For Gold OLD. They were 19th in the junior team test (68.865%) and 14th in the individual (69.184%).

"We lent For Gold to a friend for the DJM because her horse had a small injury," owner Stefanie told Eurodressage. "Clara actually rode him for the first time just a week before the competition, so everything was super spontaneous. Despite the short preparation, they did an amazing job together! It’s been great to see how well he worked with a young rider."

Clara added, "It was really kind from Steffi to give me this opportunity."
