-- PSI event press release

For the second year running, Hof Kasselmann has hosted an autumn CDI in the month of September and once again it left a highly satisfied field of participants, from top-class Olympic riders to talented amateurs and motivated young riders.

The highlight of the final day, 29 September 2024, was the CDI4* Grand Prix Special, Prize of the equestrian brand Covalliero. Katharina Hemmer and Denoix PCH repeated their success from the previous day and once again left the arena as clear winners with a new personal best score of 77.170%.

The rider from Borchen (GER), who has well and truly arrived at the top this season, was thrilled. "Denoix was still a bit ‘on‘ at the beginning, but recovered well in the test and did really well," said a delighted Hemmer about her ride.

Juliette Ramel (SWE) and Gideon K.H. finished some way behind in second place (71.979). Nuno Palma Santos (POR) and Fortunity FRH achieved another best score (71.851) on third place ahead of Evelyn Eger and Tabledance (71.170).

All options for horse and rider

"We had a great range of competitions here. It was also very well spread out with the two four-star tours, one three-star and the classes for the younger horses and riders, which many participants took advantage of," confirmed German team trainer Monica Theodorescu.

"Katharina Hemmer, for example, had four horses at the start, Fabienne Lütkemeier had three Grand Prix horses here. For Sönke Rothenberger, the freestyle on Saturday evening offered the chance to ride Fendi under floodlights for the first time."

She continued, "we have so many opportunities to train here - indoors, outdoors, under floodlights or under test conditions - that is very valuable for the horse and for the rider and we don't have that at other showgrounds."

"We are delighted that we have been able to motivate so many good riders to come here even after the Olympics. That is extraordinary. The family atmosphere and our grounds, which can withstand all weathers, are among the factors that riders appreciate here. The conditions are ideal. I think this event could become a permanent fixture," said host Ulli Kasselmann.

"With ‘Horses & Dreams - The Club‘, we have launched a new club that not only guarantees an attractive programme for members, but also supports the financing of events."

Riders from 14 nations gathered at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen am Teutoburger Wald, the Covalliero Dressage Days saw 59 horses compete in the four international tours and 50 horses took part in the national dressage competitions.

There was even a competition for the youngest talents in the saddle: 24 children took part in the young rider competition and cleared the first hurdle for the final of the Sparkasse Osnabrück Cup at Horses & Dreams 2025. Around 1000 spectators visited the stadium on the Borgberg, enjoying the last outdoor event of the year and perhaps even a visit to the Hagen funfair afterwards.
