International Horse Shipping Company IRT is currently on the look out for Horse Attendants/Grooms for both import and export quarantine facilities in Melbourne, Australia:
IRT Park is a state of the art Pre-Export Quarantine facility which prepares horses for export overseas.
Mickleham Post Entry Quarantine Facility is Australia's primary entry point for horses entering the county.
The role would include, but not limited to:
- A willingness to adhere to certain quarantine rules and regulations.
- A minimum 2 years experience working with horses
- Caring for, feeding and grooming of horses
- Assisting with Vetwork and preparing horses for travel.
- Be available to work 7:30am to 3:30pm Including weekends on a rotating roster.
- Experience working with Thoroughbreds would be an advantage.
- Some General farm work/maintenance will also be required.
