Westfalian Stallion Daily Diamond Moves to Canada

The Dutch owned Westfalian licensed breeding stallion Daily Diamond has moved to Canada.

Daily Diamond is a 12-year old Westfalian by Daily Deal out of Fairytale (by Furst Heinrich x Wolkentanz I x Mister A). He is bred by JJörn Heinrich Hormann.

Licensed in Germany, Move to Holland

Daily Diamond began his career as a breeding stallion in Germany before moving to The Netherlands.

He was first licensed at the 2014 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden and later approved for Oldenburg in 2017 and for Westfalen in 2018.

After the licensing in Verden the stallion sold to Dutch Anneke Greve-Vellekoop and Nico Witte. He was licensed with the KWPN studbook in 2015 and became the high scorer of the 2015 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance test with 87.5 points, beating Dutch 2021 Olympic team horse Total US (Edward Gal).

He sired 6 licensed offspring of which one is in Studbook I in Germany (Date Forever, Dipinto Grazile, Maigret van de Watermolen, Manager of Utopia, and the KWPN licensed Lord Diamond and Nephew).

Sport Career

Daily Diamond had several riders in his young horse career. He was first presented by Demy Kurstjens in 2015 and then Dana van Lierop showed him in the KWPN Stallion competition in 2016. They finished third in the Finals in February 2017.

As of the spring of 2017 Daily Diamond was first allocated to Kirsten Brouwer but three months later he was put into training with Bart Veeze, who rode him for two years. He finished ninth in the 2017 Pavo Cup Finals and sixth in the 2018 KWPN Stallion Competition finals.

Veeze had the stallion with him for two years before he moved to Annabel Rootveld in the spring of 2019. In 2020 he was ridden by Mieke Naberink. Daily Daimond competed in The Netherlands up to Z2 level (German M-level, fourth level USA).

Move to Canada

Daily Diamond has now moved to Canada and is standing at stud at Ashland Farm in Ashton, ON.
