The highlight in the calendar of the Westphalian breeders every year is the eagerly awaited stallion licensing. This year, the Westphalian Studbook is returning to its former three-day format, where dressage and jumping stallions are presented together at the Westphalian Horse Center in Münster-Handorf.
Fifty-five young dressage stallions will be judged by the Westphalian licensing commission.
Top Bloodlines
The young sires to be are descendants from great stallions mated with proven and successful dam lines.
Among others the half brother of the Bundeschampion and licensed stallion Fynch Hatton presents himself to the licensing committee, as well as the half brother of last year's champion stallion Dark Dynamic, or the half brothers to the proven stallions Despacito, Raven and Elastic.
Also the full brother of the advanced level successful Franz Joseph Junior will be shown at this years licensing.
A promising lot that should not be missed by any horse enthusiast!
Licensing Schedule
The licensing days are opened by the presentation of the dressage stallions on the triangle on December 1 followed by the lunging in the indoor arena in the afternoon. The presentation in freedom and proclamation of the licensing decisions takes place on December 2.
The last day on December 3 is dedicated to the proclamation of the champion and premium stallions. Starting at 2 pm the stallion sales for licensed and non-licensed stallions takes place as an OnLive auction and closes this year's licensing days for riding horses at the Westphalian Horse Center.
