The Roth family's internationally competed pony Dark Delight B has moved to Denmark. His next chapter in sport will be under Danish team rider Ingeborg Schou.

Dark Delight B is an 11-year old German Riding pony by Helios B out of Gloria B (by Golden Dancer x ). He is bred at Gestut Bonniger.

Helios Delight B

Originally named Helios Delight B, the bay Rhinelander bred pony was licensed at the 2015 Rhinelander pony stallion licensing in Wickrath. He did not do a performance test but achieved his full licensed status through sport. He has sired one licensed son (Bright Delight B) and two state premium daughters.

He was first competed by Nina Quinders in the spring of 2015 at age 3. In 2016 he was shown by Karolina Metzer and Anne-Kathrin Krage.

In 2018 the ride was allocated to Emilie Trabi and Helen Erbe. Under the latter he went to the 2018 Bundeschampionate, where he won the title in the 5-year old dressage pony finals. He was already named Dark Delight B at that time.

Antonia Roth

Dark Delight B sold to the Roth family as a second iron in the fire for Antonia Roth, who began competing Hancock (by Herzensdieb x Nemo) at international pony level in 2019.

Antonia premiered Dark Delight B at national level in April 2019 and internationally at the CDI Mariakalnok in June 2020, followed by Ornago. In 2020 Roth also got the ride on team pony Daily Pleasure who became her number one. Antonia showed Dark Delight for one more international season in 2021 at DI's in Le Mans, Opglabbeek, and Hagen.

The latter show in June 2021 was the pony's last international as well as his last show in her career, so far.

Move to Denmark

After a three year break from competition sport, Dark Delight B has now moved to Denmark top continue his sport career. He joined the stable of Ingeborg Schou.

Schou has a strong line-up of ponies with team pony FS Calimero and Crown NullNullSieben to ride.

"This weekend I have been to southern Germany to bring home a very special and fantastic pony stallion," said Ingeborg.  "I am very grateful and humbled to be able to say that I have Dark Delight B for the next 2 years. I am very much looking forward to getting to know him and to all the new adventures that lie ahead for us."
