Komet was named champion of the 2024 Westfalian Pony Stallion Licensing in Munster-Handorf on Sunday 8 December 2024.

The licensing for the stallions of the Welsh, Dülmener, Shetland and German Partbred Shetland Pony and American Miniature Horse breeds were made on Saturday. Out of 47 riding pony stallions, 31 were approved after the final movement and jumping in freedom phase on Sunday.

Six dressage-bred and four jumping-bred stallions were awarded a premium.

The winning sash in the premium lot was secured by Komet (by Komplet x A New Star) bred by ZG Bernhard and Ines Biederbeck and owned by Jill Mieleszko-Vekens. He was not offered for sale.

"The typey black stallion impressed the licensing committee with his harmonious silhouette, ground-covering walk, elastic trot work, active hindquarters and expressive uphill canter," the Westfalian breeding society stated.
