Life Time FRH, the 2024 World Young Horse Champion for 7-year olds, is looking forward to an exciting new year in 2025 with a short breeding schedule in Celle and some further showing under Charlott Maria Schürmann.

Life Time FRH is a Hanoverian stallion by Livaldon x Furstenball. He is bred by Johannes Hesselink and owned by Claude Niedner of Domus Equus in Luxembourg.

Licensed Stallion

Life Time was the reserve champion of the 2019 Westfalian Stallion Licensing in Munster-Handorf and also got approved for the Oldenburg and Hanoverian studbook.

He did his 50-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the autumn of 2020 and scored 8.28 for his dressage ability. He achieved his lifetime licence through sport.

World Young Horse Champion

World Champion of the 7-year olds
The liver chestnut stallion was once competed by Pascal Kandziora before Charlott-Marie Schürmann took over the ride. She has been producing the stallion up the levels and is responsible for his show management.

The pair has been successful from the start. They were triple World Young Horse Championship participants. They finished 13th in 2022 when Life Time was a 5-year old and 9th in 2023 when he was 6 years old. This success earned him the FRH-title for Hanoverian bred horses that thrive in sport.

This year Life Time has performed beyond everyone's wildest expectation. As a 7-year old he qualified for the 2024 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals by posting 76,878% in Bettenrode. In August he won the World Young Horse Champion's title in Ermelo. The judges rewarded the stallion with 9.5 for walk, 9 for trot, 9.2 for canter, 9.5 for submission and perspective. He finished on a total of 84.129% for the champion's sash.

2024 Goals Achieved

Owner Claude Niedner, breeder Johannes Hesselink
and Life Time
Life Time was supposed to compete in the Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt last weekend, but it was decided in the best interest of the horse to spare him from another demanding show at his young age.

"Claude and I mutually agreed to not show Life Time anymore this year because of his already exceptional results this summer," Schürmann explained. "With his World Champion's title he has achieved everything you can expect from a 7-year old and we don't want to put him under more pressure. He's only seven."

Back at Stud in the Spring of 2025

Life Time has only bred lightly, but his offspring proves to be of outstanding talent and potential. This prompted Claude to revisit the idea to stand his stallion at stud for the 2025 breeding stallion.

Life Time FRH will be available via the state stud in Celle next spring.

"He will be available for breeding, standing in Celle, as of 1 April," said Niedner. "We want to give breeders the opportunity to pass on his genes, but we do not want to ask too much of the stallion. This why we only wish  to start the season in April but will evaluate the demand."

Life Time FRH
Life Time's first crop was born in 2021 and Niedner has several fabulous 3-year old offspring at his stable, Contern Dressage Center, in Luxembourg.

Exciting Times Ahead

Life Time became a shooting star on the international dressage scene this year and the handsome liver chestnut has been the talk of the town. Rumours spread that he was sold to a German dressage investor but both the owner and rider underlined that a sale did not happen.

"We are looking forward to an exciting year in 2025," said Schürmann. "As an 8-year old he will be exclusively focused on the Nurnberger Burgpokal series."
