Life Time FRH, the World Young Horse Champion of the 7-year olds, will not be fighting for the title in the 2024 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt next week.
The stallion has been withdrawn.
Life Time FRH
Life Time is a 7-year old Hanoverian stallion by Livaldon x Furstenball. He is bred by Johannes Hesselink and owned by Claude Niedner's Domus Equus in Luxembourg.
Under Charlotte Maria Schürmann the stallion was a triple World Young Horse Championship participant. He was 13th in 2022 as a 5-year old, 9th in 2023 as a 6-year old, and he won in 2024 as a 7-year old. In addition the pair qualified for the 2024 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals by posting 76,878% at the qualifier in Bettenrode.
Withdrawal
Already last week, Schurmann made clear that she was taking only one horse to the Finals in Frankfurt, but told Eurodressage she hadn't made her pick yet.
In preparation of Frankfurt, she competed Life Time in the FRH Cup in Verden on 21 - 22 November 2024, but the stallion was very spooky in both tests in this indoor competition. Still, he won the warm-up round with 73.414% and the Finals of the FRH-cup with 76.463%.
Schurmann also qualified Caroline Scheufele's Dante’s Pearl (by Dante Weltino x San Amour) for the Burgpokal finals by scoring 73,658 % in Hagen. She had a dress rehearsal on this mare in a Test of Choice class in Vechta yesterday.
The organizers of the Burgpokal confirmed that Dante's Pearl will go to Frankfurt and Life Time stays home. "She prefers to focus on one horse," the press release stated. World Champion Life Time will, therefore, not be pursuing a second major title in his career this year.
