Changes in Trainers' Team at Helgstrand Germany: Eva Möller Free Agent, Finken Leaves

With the new year rapidly approaching the management of Helgstrand Dressage has seen a few changes in the trainers' team at its German branch, Helgstrand Germany in Syke.

In May their German equestrian facility, formerly known as Gestüt Famos, sold to German investor Maik Kanitzky. At the time it was stated that a partnership between Helgstrand and Kanitzky would be set up.

Eva Möller

This autumn Eva Möller has officially left the team of Helgstrand Germany and will continue as a free agent. Her husband Ulf remains onboard in Syke. As Eva still has students there, so she will remain a regular face at the farm.

A Helgstrand spokesperson told Eurodressage that, "Eva Möller has taken on a new role with us. After consulting with her husband, Ulf Möller, she has transitioned to working as an independent trainer for our riders and clients at Gestüt Famos. This new arrangement gives Eva much greater flexibility to travel and conduct clinics as well as teach at other locations. We fully support Eva in pursuing this and are pleased that Ulf will continue to benefit from Eva’s expertise."

Holga Finken

Earlier, on 1 November, Holga Finken left as trainer at the yard in Syke after 1 year and 5 months of collaboration.

Finken told Eurodressage, "

I had a great time at Helgstrand dressage and enjoyed the last year but I will again run my own business Holga Finken GmbH as before and work as a free trainer again. I will just continue to train Léonie Richter at Helgstrand Germany."

Finken began working for Helgstrand in June 2023.

Helgstrand confirmed Finken's department in a press release on 20 November: "It is with sadness that we must announce that Holga Finken, one of the world's most recognized dressage trainers, has chosen to stop working with Helgstrand Dressage due to personal circumstances. (...) We hope to welcome Holga Finken back to Helgstrand Dressage in the near future. Our door will always be open for him. We wish Holga all the best for the future and look forward to a possible reunion."
