The Italian Equestrian Federation (FISE) has made its appointments of dressage committee members at the last board meeting on 16 December 2024.
FISE named its technical staff in charge of the two-year period 2025 - 2026. In the same meeting the members of the selection and advisory committees were also named.
Francesco Girardi has been confirmed as FISE's sport director for 2025 - 2028. The former eventing rider has been director of the Olympic disciplines since 2017 and became the general sports director in 2023.
Within FISE each discipline has a committee and is presided by one "discipline board member" who sits on the Board of Directors. S/he is responsible for what the committee members within the discipline do/decide. The discipline board member is the one who answers to the full FISE Board of Directors and its president (Marco Di Paola).
For dressage the following appointments were made:
- Grazia Basano: discipline board member
- Katherine Ferguson Lucheschi: Team Manager Seniors / Under 25
- Laura Conz: Team Manager Young rider, Junior, Children and Team Leader European Championships
- Valentina Truppa: Team captain Ponies and Team Leader European Championships
- Dr. Marco Eleuteri or Dr. Fabrizio Monici (alternate) – Team veterinarian
The selection committee for 2025 consists of:
- Senior/U25: Barbara Ardu, Katherine Ferguson Lucheschi, Francesco Girardi
- Young rider/Junior/Children: Laura Conz, Katherine Ferguson Lucheschi, Francesco Girardi
- Pony: Valentina Truppa, Katherine Ferguson Lucheschi, Francesco Girardi
For para dressage the following appointments have been made:
- Grazia Basano - discipline board member
- Alessandro Benedetti – discipline manager
- Fabrizio Monici – team veterinarian
- Mario Ferrante – physio
- Antonio Inghilleri – massage therapist
- Selection committee: Barbara Ardu, Alessandro Benedetti, Francesco Girardi
