
Charly Brown, a German team pony at the 2015 European Pony Championships, has been allocated to Lilly Kasselmann as an FEI schoolmaster.
Charly Brown is a 17-year old Rhinelander gelding by Champion de Luxe out of Dolcevita (by FS Don't Worry). He is bred by Karl-Josef Saat.
Licensed Stallion
The bay was licensed at the 2010 Rhinelander pony stallion licensing in Wickrath, but never did a performance test. He was gelded to be focused on sport.
He was first shown by Janine Drissen in 2011 as he was stationed at Ferienhof Stucker. He then sold to Rick Lichtenberg for Britta Lichtenberg to ride. She premiered him in May 2012.
In 2013 Anouk Wiemers showed him and took him to the 2013 Bundeschampionate where they placed fifth in the 5-year old dressage horse class. Wiemers competed him through 2014 with the Bundeschampionate being their last show as a pair. They won silver in the 6-year old dressage pony finals.
Helen Erbe
Helen Erbe premiered Charly Brown in February 2015 and they made their joint international show debut at the CDI-P Hagen, where he finished fifth in the team championship test wit 71.538%.
The par was selected for the German team for the 2015 European Pony Championships in Malmo, where they got team silver, individual test bronze and placed fourth in the Kur.
Diana de Meo
The pair competed internationally through 2020 with CDI starts in Wiener Neustadt, Exloo, Aachen, Nie, Mariakalnok and Sint-Truiden. The latter show in August 2020 was Charly Brown's last CDI in his career so far.
Leni and Maya Wächter
Regina Wächter purchased Charly Brown for her daughters Leni and Maya to ride. The two have competed Charly at national level in Germany
Leni debuted in April 2021 and showed him through September 2021.
In 2022 it was Maya's turn and she showed the pony until July 2024.
Lilly Kasselmann
The Kasselmann family in Hagen got closely connected to the Wächters when they leased Nasdaq to them. In exchange Charly Brown moved to Hagen as a schoolmaster for 11-year old Lilly.
Kasselmann has taken Charly Brown to Wellington, Florida for the winter season to compete at the Global Dressage Festival while going to school in the U.S.A.
Lilly first made her mark in pony sport with Golden Clooney (by Golden State x Clooney) . The pair placed sixth in the for the 2023 German Developing Pony Rider Championship as youngster competitor in the field (age 10). Golden Clooney has been sold to the Balios Equestrian Club in Hwaseong, South Korea, and Lilly will continue with Charly Brown.
