Füchtels Indigo, Ann-Christin Wienkamp's Bundeschampionate bronze medal winner and WCYH finalist, has been sold to the U.S.A. He will continue as a Grand Prix hopeful for a U.S team rider.
Füchtels Indigo OLD is an 8-year old Oldenburg gelding by Ibiza out of Highness (by Roadster x Sandro Hit). He is bred by Clemens von Merveldt at his Gut Füchtel in Vechta.

The bright bay was first competed by Catharine Tempel as a 4-year old in 2021 before professional young horse rider Ann-Christin Wienkamp took over the ride in 2022.
The pair qualified for the 2022 Bundeschampionate and won the bronze medal in the 5-year old dressage finals. In 2023 they were selected on the German team for the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo and landed a fifth place in the 6-year old finals. They also returned to the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf that year and placed 14th in the finals.
In 2024 Wienkamp trained the horse to small tour level and rode his first S-test in March. The pair's last competition was in May 2024 in Vechta.
Sold to the U.S.A.
The bay gelding has now been sold to the U.S.A. where he'll continue his sport career with 2023 Pan American gold medal winner Anna Marek.
"We are already looking forward to his further career with an outstanding young rider from the American team," said the Von Merveldt family.
