German FEI pony rider Lotta Beckmanns said goodbye to her pony time as she aged out and sold her pony Grenzehohes Dragon Kiss to a new rider.

Grenzehohes Dragon Kiss is an 11-year old German Riding pony by Dior's Daikiri out of Marysan (by Giorgio N x Lombard x Radautz). He is bred by Sabine Reimers-Mortensen.

The buckskin made his show debut in 2017 under Josefine Sager and from 2018 till 2019 was competed by Marliese Mortensen. The pony sold to the Beckmanns family in 2019.

Dragon Kiss premiered under Lotta Beckmanns in July 2019 and in 2020 the pair competed at the Bundeschampionate, where they were retired in the 6-year old consolation finals.

Their international show debut came in December 2022 at the CDI Kronenberg Indoor, where they were fourth in the team test (70.214%), third in the individual (70.180%) and second in the Kur (74.792%). They were 9th at the 2022 German Pony Championships.

In 2023 they went full throttle with starts in Ornago and Gossendorf, where they won all tests. They were 9th in the 2023 Preis der Besten. They went to Exloo, and the German team selection trial in Hagen and were named second reserve for the team for the 2023 European Pony Championships in Le Mans. They travelled to Le Mans as first reserve though and showed in the parallel CDI tour there to place 3rd in the team test. They were 9th at the 2023 German Pony Championships. Their last CDI and competition as a pair was the CDI Aachen Indoor in December 2023.

Lotta did not show Dragon Kiss in 2024 as she had aged out of ponies in 2024 (17 years old).

New Rider

After a year break from showing Dragon Kiss is set to return to the arena with a new rider based at Stable Frenzen in Krefeld.

"I was able to experience six incredible years with you. From the first dressage horse tests to our first FEI, we achieved everything together. You have fulfilled more than my biggest dreams," said Lotta. "You are everything to me, little champion! You didn’t always make it easy for me, but when it mattered, you were always there for me. Everything I have achieved and experienced I have to thank you for. Now our paths have parted and you moved into your new home this morning so that you can also make a young talented girl just as happy as me. You will always and forever be the little dragon in my heart."

In 2024 Beckmanns has moved into the junior division aboard Zarafin, a 13-year old Oldenburg by Zonik x Rosario, who was previously shown by Nicole Növermann and Mica Beckmanns.
