After Adrienne Lyle secured her ticket to the 2025 World Cup Final in qualifier in Wellington last week, California based Geñay Vaughn became the second U.S. rider to gain a berth for the Final by winning the qualifier in Del Mar on 15 February 2025.

With only one more East coast qualifier to come in Wellington (1 March 2025), the North American League has seen two riders hit the maximum amount of 60 qualification points on the NAL ranking, which earns them a starting place for the Finals in Basel, Switzerland, the first weekend of April.

The 30-year old Genay Vaughn and her 14-year old KWPN gelding Gino (by Bretton Woods x Haarlem) have won the three West Coast World Cup qualifiers in a row, starting her campaign at Thermal in November 2024, and winning the Thermal CDI-W in January 2025. Last weekend she also topped the board in Del Mark with a 74.370%.

Vaughn topped the leader board in a field of six riders, leaving the competition far behind her. Kristina Harrison-Antell and Finley were second in the freestyle with  70.910% while Canadian Brittney Simpson and Goldfinch finished third with 69.020%.
