Elite Stallions are revving up for a groundbreaking 2025 breeding season with the exciting acquisition of the exceptional stallion Top Gear, purchased from Deckstation Schockemoehle. This striking black stallion, a powerhouse of bloodlines, offers an incredible opportunity for British breeders looking to elevate their breeding programs this season.

Bringing a modern type and three first-class paces, Top Gear is poised to make a significant impact on the British breeding scene. His powerful and elevated movement, combined with a supple, swinging back and harmonious connection, lays the perfect foundation for a breeding stallion. Conformationally, he is extremely correct, with clean, straight limbs and a superb topline. His impressive rideability and trainability, coupled with his many top-quality assets, make him an ideal addition to any breeding program. As a young horse, Top Gear made a remarkable impression, becoming the Reserve Champion at the 2014 Oldenburg licensing. His 30-day performance test in Schlieckau further solidified his reputation, where he scored a perfect 10.0 for character and an outstanding 9.75 from the test rider. Since then, Top Gear has enjoyed a competitive career with Isabel Freese, earning multiple top-five finishes throughout the levels. Most recently, he finished second in the Inter II at Ankum, with an impressive score of over 70%. For breeders, Top Gear offers an exceptional pedigree. His sire, Totilas, revolutionised dressage with numerous accolades, including the European Championship in Windsor in 2009 and three gold medals at the World Equestrian Games in 2010. Totilas has sired over 40 licensed sons, including the renowned Glock’s Toto Jr, Glock’s Total US, and Total Hope. Don Frederico, the dam’s sire, brings prestigious bloodlines from the mighty Donnerhall, with many of his offspring competing at Grand Prix level and over 30 licensed sons. Additionally, the third sire, Sandro Hit, is a foundation stallion in dressage, with over 180 licensed descendants.

Top Gear’s progeny are already following in their father’s footsteps. These tall, modern types exhibit superb movement and are already showing great promise. Several of his offspring have been approved as stallions, while his son Fuechtels To Limit competed in the WCYH for six-year-olds, and daughter Top Gem placed 1st at PSG with scores over 75%. Although his offspring numbers have been somewhat limited due to his competitive career, his foals have proven themselves on the competition scene, indicating his potential to produce future stars.
