Sport Career
Anja Engelbart took over the basic training of the bay and qualified him for the Bundeschampionate but never competed in Warendorf.
A co-ownership share sold to Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff and her stepson, Matthias Alexander Rath, took over the reins. He premiered the stallion as a 5-year old in 2013 and made their international show debut at small tour level in 2016 in Jerez de la Frontera. In 2017 the pair finished 6th in the Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt.
In 2018 they moved up to international medium tour level and by the end of the year rode their first CDI Grand Prix in Nice, France. They were 10th in the 2018 Louisdor Cup Finals for Developing GP Horses in Frankfurt.
Rath campaigned Foundation internationally through March 2022 after which the stallion disappeared from sport. He made a brief international come back in December 2023 under then assistant rider Judit Sarda Mena, who showed him once at the CDI Kronenberg Indoor.
Retirement
"Foundation is retired from sport. He is fit, in full training and breeding," Gestut Schafhof told Eurodressage. "Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff is riding him here at home."
