Online Class to Create “Hands Your Horse Will Love" - brought to you by Dave Thind Method

This Saturday – 1 March 2025 - Transform Your Contact, Connection & Feel from the Comfort of Your Home

As riders, our hands reflect our entire body—our seat, balance, tension, and ability to move in harmony with the horse. To truly honor our horses, we must refine ourselves, ensuring our hands communicate lightness, feel, and clarity rather than tension or force.

Join Dave Thind Method for a FREE online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® class designed specifically for dressage riders. This class is not about exercise or physical therapy. It is about rewiring movement patterns at the neurological level to create effortless, pain-free coordination and a deeper connection with your horse.

Saturday, March 1, 12 PM EST | Online via Zoom

Led by Dave Thind, a German-certified trainer and Feldenkrais Practitioner who has helped riders of all levels—including Olympic medalists—refine their seat, posture, and feel, this class introduces Hands Your Horse Will Love, a proven approach to improving contact and connection through cutting-edge neuro-motor training.

What You’ll Gain

  • Softer, more responsive hands by improving your seat and posture
  • A true back-to-front connection, creating better feel and less resistance
  • A relaxed, effective position that allows your horse to move freely

Train your body for a more balanced seat
German Master Christoph Hess, retired Head of Education and Training at the German Equestrian Federation (F.N.), emphasizes:

"The most important part of training a horse is training the rider’s position. No rider can properly train a horse without first training their seat. A balanced and relaxed position is key—but to be honest, it is very difficult to achieve."

Why This Isn’t a Riding Class or 'Work-Out'

Unlike traditional training, the Feldenkrais Method® is not exercise, stretching, or physical therapy. It is a proven neuroplasticity-based system that rewires movement, reducing unnecessary tension while improving function, balance, and coordination.

Elite athletes across various sports use Feldenkrais to develop effortless, bio-mechanically correct movement. For riders, this translates into better contact, softer hands, and a more supple, responsive horse.  Feldenkrais-based training rewires the nervous system, leading to lasting improvements in suppleness, balance, and communication with the horse.

Dave Thind believes that neuroplasticity gives aging athletes reasons for optimism.

Charlotte Jorst uses the Dave Thind
Method to improve her seat and riding
"Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to adapt and rewire itself throughout life," said Thind. It is an incredibly hopeful concept for aging athletes because it challenges the outdated belief that physical and cognitive decline is inevitable with age. Instead, it proves that new movement patterns, skills, and efficiencies can be learned at any stage of life."

Thind added, "it's never too late ! The ability to rewire movement patterns means that even lifelong bad habits can be changed."
