The 8-year old XL German Riding pony stallion Dream Date has been sold to Hong Kong junior rider Kendra Li.
Dream Date is a 2017 born stallion by Dating AT out of Desert Rose (by Hesselteich's Golden Dream x FS Golden Moonlight). He is bred by Bianca Weidner.
Weidners Dream Date
Originally named Weidners Dream Date, the palomino was licensed and named champion of the 2019 Brandenburg pony stallion licensing in Neustadt/Dosse. He did not do a performance test.
He sold to Danica Duen and was approved for Oldenburg and Westfalia in 2020.
Five of his offspring are registered for sport in Germany. One daughter is a state premium mare. He has no licensed sons.
Sport Career
He premiered in sport in July 2020 under Danica Duen in the riding pony classes and finished third at the 2020 Westfalian Young Horse Championships in Munster-Handorf. A year later he won gold at the 2021 Westfalian Championships.
In 2022 Danica's daughter Sophie briefly showed him alongside her mom. In 2023 Sophie rode hi to a fourth place at the Westfalian Championships. Although Dream Date achieved the qualification scores he did not compete at the Bundeschampionate.
Danica produced the oversized pony stallion to M-level and showed him in a double bridle against horses at M-level from the summer of 2023 through January 2025.
Sold to Hong Kong
The 15-year old Kendra is showing at international junior level with her own Isterberg V (by Instertanz V x Belissimo M). She premiered him at the CDI Troisdorf in October 2024. Dream Date is her second iron in the fire for junior level.
Kendra's international career began as a children rider, competing for Malta, aboard El Amore van de Kempenhoeve, a 15-year old Belgian warmblood by San Amour x Florencio). She finished 17th at the 2023 European Children Championships in Kronberg.
