Complete Collection of 2025 Excellent Dressage Sales Published

There is still one month to go until the Excellent Dressage Sales team prepares for a new live auction. On Saturday May 17th, the spectacle will start at Academy Bartels in Hooge Mierde and 40 dressage horses will make their appearance. The collection will be supplemented with a few genetically interesting foals.

Tim Coomans, Joep Schellekens, Joop van Uytert and Nico Witte have joined forces again to offer a varied collection of horses. From promising young talents to approved stallions and Grand Prix horses that have already earned their spurs in the sport. In the last live edition in 2019, Charming Lady from Sophie Reef, who has now retired from sport, managed to drop the hammer on no less than €700,000. Franklin daughter Kavira was sold for €210,000 and last week at the CDI in Tolbert she won the PSG with the Swedish Sofie Lexner.

Joop van Uytert: ‘’After 2019 we held a number of online EDS auctions, but the atmosphere of a live auction is of course unbeatable. We have been able to put together a fantastically varied collection this year and with this collection of horses we are convinced that we can look forward to a wonderful evening on 17 May 2025."

Grand Prix horses and Approved Stallions

This collection of 40 horses includes no less than 5 Grand Prix horses; Hamilton (by Apache) who is successful under Elisabeth Geluk, Handretti (by Andretti) who recently won his Grand Prix debut with Lars op ‘t Hoog and was also successful at the Asian Games, Hexagon’s Grandville (by Hexagon’s Louisville) who could also be a fantastic schoolmaster, Grand Prix winner Hove’s Tatiana (by Tailormade Temptation) with Ingrid Gerritsen and powerhouse In-Time (by Everdale) who has completed all classes with Hergen van Hall from the age of 6.

As you would expect from EDS, the collection also includes approved stallions. The 3-year-old stallions DC-10 (by Dynamic Dream), approved by the AES and the young Fynn Romance (by Fynch Hatton), approved by the NRPS, were only approved earlier this year. Freelance (by Fuerstbischof) is successful under saddle and has already produced several talented offspring. Preston SB descends from Bordeaux and hopes to emulate his successful Olympic half-brothers Bluetooth, Bohemian and Fame (all descended from Bordeaux). Black pearl Willem van Normandi is a true gentleman, excels under saddle and combines this with an excellent character. He has been approved by several studbooks.

On Saturday evening 17 May sport, quality, passion and conviviality will come together during the live auction in Hooge Mierde. From 11 May, the horses will be stabled at Academy Bartels for viewings and Try-outs.
