Australian double Olympic team rider Simone Pearce and 2019 European show jumping champion Martin Fuchs are engaged. The couple has been together since 2023.
Fuchs proposed to Pearce during their short getaway to Italy, where they went on holiday in Fortei dei Marmi and Pisa.
The 33-year old Pearce competed Gestut Sprehe's stallion Destano (by Desperados x Brentano II) at the 2021 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympic Games for Team Australia. In 2023 she was based at Thomas Ritzinger's yard in Baden Wurttemberg, but in January 2024 she moved to Gestüt Hirtenhof in Aach, Baden-Wurttemberg, to set up her own business and to be closer to her Swiss based boyfriend, Martin Fuchs.
The couple has begun a horse dealing business together titled "Team Fuchs" with Martin and Israeli sponsor Ilan Ferder as investors. Pearce sources dressage horses to be produced up the levels and sold.
