Vitavito Gold Cracks 100,000 Euro Marker in 2025 Westfalian May Colt Foal Auction

The chestnut colt Vitavito Gold cracked the magical 100,000 euro marker as he sold as top priced foal in the 2025 Westfalian Online Colt Foal Auction on 26 May 2025. 

Twenty-five foals, all colts, were included in the collection and 20 of them sold (80%). The average price of 14,088 euro was heavily influenced by the price highlight. Still, six foals sold over 10,000 euro.

The embryotransfer foal Vitavito Gold is by Va Bene out of Martine Ehlinger's mare Sweet Pepper (by Sir Donnerhall x Dream of Love x Rubinstein). The foal was bred and owned by Philipp Welsing. The strong moving colt had fervent bidders going up to 70,000 euro even before the final BidUp started. In the end he sold to Hessia for 105,000 euro. 

Gestüt Schultenhof's colt Popcorn (by Pjethro x San Amour) was the second most expensive foal and moves to Spain for 26,500 euro.

Valentino (by Viva Gold x Briar) was knocked down to Brazil for 24,500 euro. Velix (by V-Power x Indian Rock) went for 18,500 euro, Karl-Heinz (by Kjento x Sezuan) for 11,000 euro. Sir Dirk (by St. Emilion x Dimaggio) sold for 9,750 euro.

A customer from Azerbaijan secured colt Proud Passion (by Pride x Santo Domingo) for 10,000 euro and Macklemore (by Morrison x Franziskus) for 9,000 euro.

Spaniards also bought Gravity (by Global Hope x Lavagon) for 7,750 euro and Silas WF (by St. Emilion x Dancier) for 7,000 euro.

A Swiss client purchased colt Dash of Love RAK (by Dark Dynamic x Furstenball) for 5,750 euro.
