Gladstone M.H., an Australian internationally competed Young Riders' horse, has been sold to an Australian junior rider.

Gladstone M.H. is a 14-year old KWPN gelding by Bordeaux out of Widallisto MH (by Montecristo x Casanova). He is bred by De Groot family at the Merwehoeve in The Netherland.

Glow

Originally named Glow, the chestnut was presented at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing and accepted to do the performance test to get fully licensed. He started the spring testing in 2014 but did not complete it. He returned to the spring testing in 2015 but was once again pulled out mid-test.

Glow was gelded to be focused on sport.

Jessica Dertell

In 2019 Gladstone M.H. sold to Australia to Brett and Samantha Thomas of Sabble Farm for Jessica Dertell to ride.

Sabble Farms has already of imported a string of horses including Cennin, Eskara De Jeu, and Zanzibar for Dertell, who was on quadruple duty as at age 18 was competing in the junior, young riders, U25 and senior Grad Prix ranks.

She made her international debut on Gladstone at junior level in February 2020 at Bawley Point. An almost two-year break from international show followed during the corona pandemic and they returned in January 2022 at the CDI Boneo. A month later they moved up to Young Riders level and showed in Bawley Point, Sydney, Caboolture, and Boneo that year, putting the icing on the cake by claiming the 2022 Australian Young Riders Champion's title, alonside the junior and senior Grand Prix title, an unprecedented feat.

In 2023 they showed at Bawley Point and Sydney, before heading to Europe for the CDIO-YR Hagen. Up to that point Dertell and Gladstone had won 19 of the 24 CDI classes they had shown in as a pair. In Hagen she was 10th in the European pack. They returned to Australia after the summer for two more CDI shows in Caboolture and Boneo. The latter CDI in October 2023 was their last. The CDI counted as the 2023 Australian Young Riders Championships and they got silver

The Heinrich Family

Gladstone M.H. sold to Neleena Heinrich more than a year ago for her daughters Aisha and Mia to ride.  Dertell and Sabble Farm parted ways after the summer of 2024.

The 16-year old Aisha Heinrich made her international show debut at the CDI Boneo in October 2023 in the Children's division aboard Bertone S (by Benicio x Falsterbo). It was her first and only CDI so far, but she has been focusing on national showing and also competes Bertone in the hunter hack discipline.

"We plan on coming out, competing in the juniors, and aiming for the young riders when I’m ready to move up with him. At the moment, we have been training hard at home," Aisha told Eurodressage. "He was initially bought for Mia, my sister, who is taking a break from riding indefinitely. I'm enjoying learning the robs on him. We have started to bond and form a great partnership. He is just beautiful. I'm fortunate to have him and Bert as my team."

Aisha trains with Samantha Bingham.
