The Swiss equestrian federation has announced the teams that will compete at the 2025 European Young Riders / Under 25 Championships in Kronberg (GER) on 8 - 13 July 2025.
The Swiss team was selected by the dressage selection committee.
They were remarkably unable to field a single individual young rider combination. However they are celebrating its first complete U25 team.
The Under 25 team is captained by chef d'equipe Ruth Haas, assisted by senior Grand Prix team trainer Oliver Oelrich.
"For the first time in the history of Swiss dressage, an U25 team will be taking part in the European Championships," said Haas. "All four athletes have successfully made their way through the national training system - from ponies to children, juniors and young riders through to the U25 category. The riders' focussed commitment in collaboration with their home trainers and the national coach is crucial to this success. It is particularly pleasing that two of the four riders would still be eligible to compete in the Young Riders category, but have recommended themselves for the U25 team with their outstanding performances - a decision for the future. With this young, committed and goal-orientated team, Switzerland is opening a new chapter in dressage."
