Ingrid Klimke will not be competing Vayron in the 2025 German Dressage Championships in Balve on 12 - 15 June 2025. The horse has been withdrawn for health reasons.
Balve is the first of two mandatory German team selection trials for the 2025 European Dressage Championships in Crozet (FRA) at the end of August.
Klimke and Rudolf Spiekermann's 14-year old Westfalian Vayron (by Vitali x Gloster) are considered strong team contenders alongside Isabell Werth (Wendy) and Frederic Wandres (Bluetooth) who are the two highest scoring Germans at the moment.
Klimke was drawn last to go today in the Grand Prix but has been scratched. Vayron had travelled to Balve and had been familiarized with the venue but developed mild colic signs there and been shipped to the equine clinic for observation.
Klimke made her debut on Vayron at the CDI Kronenberg Indoor in December 2024, winning the Grand Prix with 73.609%. This year she has shown him in Amsterdam, Hagen and Hamburg with Grand Prix scores of 73.326%, 69.956% and 74.500%.
