The colt Fliedergold became the best seller of the elite foal auction that was held at the 2025 Trakehner Elite Mare Show in Darmstadt on 13 September 2025.
A small collection of nine colts and three fillies was on offer, all with dressage, jumping and eventing bloodlines.
Fliedergold (by Eichengold x Helium), bred by Karl Skupin, Lübeck, sold to Switzerland for 27,000 euro.
Eight foals achieved prices of 10,000 euros and more. Oh Romeo (by Tschaikowsky x Hirtentanz) was the second most expensive foal, selling to a German for 17,500 euro.
Colt Coldplay (by Kap Verde x Imhotep) sold for 17,000 euro while filly Heart of Magic (by Kind of Magic x Touch my Heart) found a new owner for 15,500 euro.
Three foals sold abroad. Kingsland (by Kensington Palace x. Boheidel xx) moves to Holland for 8,500 euro.
The average price for a foal at this auction was 12,688 euro.
