After having worked for five years for Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and her brother, German WEG team rider Benjamin, Spanish professional dressage rider Adrian Munoz Jurado is making the leap to independence.

He is setting up own training and sales business in Zolling near Munich, Germany.

Gaining Experience Across Europe

The 25-year old Adrian is originally from Malaga and got his formal schooling in dressage from Gustavo Artillo.

In 2017 he made the bold move to relocate to north Europe, convinced by his mentor Artillo to spread his wings. Adrian went to Sweden to take up his first professional riding job.

A year later, in November 2018, he turned south to The Netherlands, inspired by the path Spanish Olympian Severo Jurado Lopez took. He cold-called Van Olst Horses asking for a job and was invited to come ride the green broke youngsters for their auctions. At Van Olst Adrian started at least 50 youngsters under saddle and gained experience training youngsters from the start.

In October 2020 Munoz relocated to Germany as he was offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become an assistant rider for OIympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and her brother Benjamin, a German 2022 World Championship team rider. There he fine-tuned his riding skills to Grand Prix level with many show opportunities at national and international competitions.

Based at the famous yard in Aubenhausen and learning from the best, Munoz made his international show debut in 2022 at Under 25 Grand Prix level aboard Dundee (by Don Index x Weltmeyer). In the next four years he ended up showing four different horses at U25 Grand Prix level: Sir Davidoff (by Sir Donnerhall x Don Davidoff), Future Jazz Dancer (by Jazz x Florestan), Dwayne (by Diamond Hit x Weltmeyer), Dallenio (by Millennium x Handryk) and Prawaldhof's Scubido (by Sir Donnerhall x De Niro).

Bronze at the 2024 Spanish U25 Championships
With Scudibo Adrian clinched a spot on the Spanish team for the 2025 European Under 25 Championships in Kronberg. On national level, Adrian showed a string of Aubenhausen horses which resulted in him earning the Golden Rider Badge, a German distinction for having achieved 10 wins at S-level. He also won the bronze medal with Future Jazz Dancer at the 2024 Spanish Under 25 Championships.

Independence in Zolling

In the autumn of 2025 Munoz left Aubenhausen for a new chapter in his professional career.

"My goal is to offer individual and high-quality training for both horses and riders — focused on harmony, precision, and true connection," Adrian explained. "From developing young horses to preparing them for top-level competition, every detail is designed to bring out the best in each horse."

Adrian's new base in Zolling, Germany
At a private facility in Zolling near Munich, Adrian has rented a stable wing, where he can train and teach as an independent agent in a quiet, peaceful, and professional atmosphere.

"The barn is newly built with the main focus on the wellness of the horse," said Adrian. "It has big paddock stalls, super big fields, and all you need for high level training. There is an Olympic size indoor and outdoor, a treadmill, a lunging ring, an aqua trainer with dynamic forest floor, a fast-dry solarium, a walker, and so much more. It's paradise."

Munoz hopes to fill these boxes with horses from owners and breeders seeking to rely on his experience and knowledge.

Top facilities for horse and rider
"My main focus is training horses for high level sport,  but of course there will be the possibility to take on sales horses," he said. "I hope to be present high-quality horses for sale, which have been developed with patience, precision, and the right foundation for success in sport."
