German professional rider Oliver Cordes is joining the riders' team at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta as of 15 March 2026.

He will be working as a scout for dressage and show jumping horses and brings with him extensive experience in sport, training and breeding.

Oliver Cordes

Oliver discovered riding at an early age. He successfully competed in the German Pony and Junior Championships and under the guidance of jumping rider Toni Hassmann, he completed his training as a riding instructor at the DOKR.

He completed an education as an industrial clerk and found his first job at Dr Rowold's veterinary practice in Haselünne, where he expanded his knowledge of insemination and horse breeding, among other things. For four years he worked for stallion station Böckmann.

His career has been marked by numerous Bundeschampionat qualifications, successful stallion performance tests and placings up to class S*** in show jumping.

Vechta

After several years of self-employment, Oliver Cordes is now focusing on new tasks in Vechta and his work in the Oldenburg marketing team.

Oliver Cordes is already supporting the team in selecting the collection for the Spring Elite Auction. For those who make a quick decision, the final selection for all riding horse breeds will take place on 23 February at the Oldenburg Horse Centre in Vechta.
