Petra and Dieter Hofmann have acquired a half-ownership share in the licensed stallion FS Bloomberg and allocated the further training of the horse to Spanish Olympian Borja Carrascosa.

FS Bloomberg is a 2017 born Hanoverian stallion by Bon Coeur out of Davita (by Don Index x Rohdiamant). He is bred by Ludwig Schüring.

Licensed Stallion

Owned by Josef and Christiane Wilbers, he was first licensed at the 2019 Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar licensing in October 2029 and later approved for Hanover and KWPN in 2020 and for Westfalia in 2021. He did his 14-day suitability test in September 2020 in Adelheidsdorf and scored 8.25 points with 8.74 for dressage and 7.25 for jumping.  He also did the performance test for KWPN in The Netherlands and became the high scorer with 88.5 points. At that time it was announced that Bloomberg was co-owned by Wilbrs and horse dealer Egbert Scherp.

FS Bloomberg has 33 offspring registered with the German equestrian federation so far and 1 licensed son (Bloomberg's Bente). KWPN has 179 Bloomberg foals registered of which 2 sons were accepted for the performance test (which they never/not yet completed). In Belgium son Sir Urona (by Bloomberg x Negro) is BWP licensed.

Sport Career

The stallion has been competed by three different riders so far.

Marina Welbers premiered him in 2020 in the riding horse tests and placed fourth at the Bundeschampionate. In 2021 Janine Drissen took over the ride and showed him once that year. In 2022 they won the Kurtscheid qualifier for the Bundeschampionate but did not go to Warendorf. In 2023 she moved the stallion up to M-level. In 2024 he was once shown by Heiner Schiergen but in 2025 Janine competed him solely up to S-level at local shows.

Petra Hofmann, owner of the recently sold Sir Hubert W, has now invested in FS Bloomberg and the horse has moved to Borja Carrascosa, who will produce him to Grand Prix level.
