Kirsten Søgaard Leaves Danish Dressage Committee, Two New Members Appointed

At the board meeting of the Danish Equestrian Federation on 29 February - 1 March 2026, two new members have been appointed on the Technical Dressage Committee, while one member rotated out.

The newly appointed dressage committee members are Charlotte Olsen and Anja Hjeronimus Larsen.

After more than 20 years of voluntary work in the Dressage Committee, Kirsten Søgaard has chosen to pass the baton on. Kirsten, who is both a judge in the FEI and a chief judge in Denmark, has been very involved in the committee's work on the education of dressage judges, including as a teacher at courses, and has also done a lot of work in connection with the championships for young horses.

New Para Committee Chair

In collaboration with Parasport Denmark, the board has approved the nomination of Anne-Katrine Ladefoged as the new chair of the Para Committee.

Anne-Katrine has been part of the Para Committee for the past two years and has during that time participated extensively in, and gained insight into, the committee's work to develop the quality of the Danish events and competitions for para riders, to develop competence among officials and, not least, to have a constant focus on horse welfare as a focal point. In her role as chairwoman, Anne-Katrine has a clear goal to continue to strengthen the spread and development of para-riding in Denmark, as well as to create an even better framework for the sport for the benefit of riders, horses, clubs and volunteers throughout the country.

She takes over the reins from Nina Faxe, who is stepping down after a number of years in the role of chairman. Nina has been a very committed chairman and a central player in spreading Danish para-riding among DRF's clubs.

In the Para Committee, Rikke Juul has chosen to dedicate herself to the position of technical delegate in the future, where she will focus her voluntary efforts on the work on the competition courses.
