Finnish Paralympic dressage rider Pia-Pauliina Reitti has found a new dressage horse in Belgium for her future in paralympic sport. She acquired Porto Verde de la Roque.

Porto Verde de la Roque is a 5-year old SBS registered stallion by Valverde out of Kafhira's Aqiedo (by Aqiedo x Westpoint). He is bred by Philippe Halluent at Haras de la Roque.

Belgian Start

The bay was first managed by Magali Castellana, who is based at Halluent's yard in Ittre, Belgium.

Porto Verde began his show career under Margaux Nicolay who debuted him in April 2025 at a local show in the 4-year old test. Two months later they showed again in Baudour.

The ride then went to Aure Spleeters, partner of Belgian horse dealer Stefan van Ingelgem, who debuted him at national level in Gesves in October 2025, but retired from the test.

Finland

Van Ingelgem has now sold Porto Verde de la Roque to Finnish Pia-Pauliine Reitti. She has decided to geld the stallion so he can focus fully on sport.

The horse arrived in Mäntsälä, Finland, on 5 May 2026.

"The plan is to compete internationally again in the future once the horse gains a little more age and experience," Pia told Eurodressage.

The 36-year old Reitti began her Paralympic journey as a Grade IV rider in 2018 on the now 17-year old Supremo (DWB, by Romanov x Soprano). They competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon (8th in the Kur), 2019 European Championships (7th), and 2021 Paralympics in Tokyo (12th). Her last CPEDI on Supremo was in March 2024 in Ypaja. In 2025 Supremo showed with Reitti's mom, Grade II para rider Merja Laru.

Pia was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2014 and has competed at Grade IV level.

“At the moment, I do not have a valid international classification, but I recently completed a national classification where I was classified in Group 3,” she told Eurodressage.

Reitti's long-term personal trainer is Håkan Wahlman, and Riitta Holopainen and national team trainer Janne Bergh. Pia and her husband Ari run a dairy farm, which hosts over 100 dairy cows as well as their horses.
