After nearly two decades in the United States, Danish dressage rider Caroline Hørdum has joined Cecilia Bergåkra's team at NorCordia, bringing international experience at a time of continued growth and increasing international activity.
As NorCordia continues to develop and Cecilia Bergåkra's international competition schedule expands, Danish dressage rider Caroline Hørdum has joined the team following nearly two decades in the United States.
Bergåkra recently topped the FEI U25 Dressage World Ranking and continues to combine international competition with the training and presentation of NorCordia's sales horses. At the same time, NorCordia's activities continue to grow, making the addition of an experienced rider a natural next step for the team.
Returning to Denmark
Originally from Vejle, Denmark, Hørdum has spent nearly 19 years in the United States, where she established herself within the dressage industry and gained extensive experience in the training and development of dressage horses. Throughout her career, she has worked with young horses, stallions and FEI horses, including horses trained through to Grand Prix level.
"After nearly 19 years in the United States, I felt the time was right for a new chapter," said Hørdum. "The U.S. has given me tremendous experience, both as a rider and as a person, but I missed Europe, the Danish dressage culture and the opportunity to work in an environment that combines horse training, sport and the sale of quality dressage horses."

Supporting a Growing Team
For Bergåkra, Hørdum's arrival strengthens the team at an exciting stage in NorCordia's development.
"Caroline brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to the team," said Bergåkra. "She has worked with everything from young horses to Grand Prix horses and has a deep understanding of horse development. As my competition schedule becomes increasingly busy and NorCordia continues to grow, it is incredibly valuable to have someone with Caroline's experience playing a key role within the team and in the daily development of the horses."
Looking Ahead

Alongside her move to Denmark, she has also brought two of her own young horses from the United States: her five-year-old mare Favorite Girl (Fynch Hatton x Florencio) and her four-year-old stallion by Flashbang out of a Franklin mare, both of whom will continue their education in Denmark.
