The Dutch equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent The Netherlands at the 2026 World Championships Dressage in Aachen on 11 - 15 August 2026.

Following team observation trials in Exloo, the Dutch Championships, and Rotterdam, Dutch team captain Patrick van der Meer was able to make his final selection

The Dutch team will include two of the Crozet team combinations as well as two brand new horses, both aged 9. These two horses (Mauro, Mr Magnum) are both supported by the NOPT talent plan, which gives financial aid to the owners not to sell the horses.

"I am actually very proud of that NOPT plan," said Van der Meer. "Thanks to it, we have been able to secure a few very talented horses, including the two mentioned. This works very well.

The Dutch team includes:

  • Marieke van der Putten - Zantana
  • Dinja van Liere - Mauro
  • Thamar Zweistra -Mr Magnum
  • Rowena Weggelaar - Don Quichot

The reserve is Lynne Maas with Electra.
