EVO Ivy Blue, the winner of 2026 Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championships for 5-Year Olds, has dropped out of Danish team contention for the World Young Horse Championships.
EVO Ivy Blue is a 2021 born Danish warmblood mare by Iron out of Uno Cora (by Furst Heinrich x Rubinstein). She is bred and owned by Stutteri EVO and named after singer Beyonce's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Under Anne-Mette Strandby Hansen the dark bay mare finished 7th in the 4-year old finals at the 2026 Danish Young Horse Championships. In March 2026 they won the 5-YO Danish warmblood championship held during the annual stallion licensing, which launched them as one of Denmark's team favourites for team selection for Verden.
Danish team selection for the World Young Horse Championships takes place over two rounds. The first was held at the end of May at Randbol Dressage Academy, where a long-list of horses was made. They were allowed to move on to the second and last selection trial in Vilhelmsborg on 1 - 2 July.
Ivy Blue will not be participating.
"Sometimes life has other plans," Strandby took to Instagram. "We are heartbroken to share that our beloved EVO Ivy Blue has had an accident in the stable and unfortunately fractured her coffin bone."
Anne-Mette and EVO added, "the good news is that her prognosis is very positive, and with time, patience, and the best possible care, she is expected to make a quick and full recovery. Right now, our only focus is giving Ivy all the love and support she needs. We can’t wait to see her happy and healthy again."
