Zafiano, Espresso Martini, Verome Best Sellers of June-July Online Foal Auctions in Germany

With foal season almost coming to a close, studbooks and farms across Germany have been holding online auctions to assist the breeders in the sale of their foals.

DSP on 14 July: Zafiano

The DSP studbook held an online foal auction on 14 July and had 26 foals in the collection

The top selling foal was a a palomino colt, Zafiano (by Zafferano x Wolkenwind) which sold for 6,500 euro. An Austrian bought La Salette de Vito JGF (by Segantini Due x Lehmann) for 6,250 euro. An Indian secured the palomino colt Zimtstern (by Zafferano x Furst Jazz) for 5,250 euro. 

Fifteen foals from the collection of 26 had zero or just one bid.

Westfalia on 13 July: Espresso Martini

Vivaldiano
The Westfalian breeding society held an online foal auction on 13 July and a collection of 38 foals was on offer. 

The jumper colt Espresso Martini (by Empire Kalone x Origi d'O) was the best seller for 18,000 euro. A Dutch client bought Vivaldiano (by Vivaldos x Danciano) for 12,000 euro. Lord Charnhorst (by Lord Charmeur x Dancier Gold) stays in Germany for 7,750 euro. The same price was paid for filly Sissi Bon (by Security x King's Pleasure).

A Ukrainian bought Flavio R (by For Romeo x Diamond Hit), Power For Ever Dyloma S (by Pjethro x Everdale), and Great Hubert (by Glamdale x San Amour) for 5,000 euro.

EBay (by Extreme US x Don Index) and Greti Europe (by Great Europe x Schwarzgold) move to Spain for 4,000 euro. 

Klosterhof on 27 June: Verôme

Verôme
The Wahler family of Klosterhof Medingen was able to rely on its loyal clientele of customers to generate sales in their online foal auction held on 27 June 2026. 

A collection of 9 foals was on offer, one foal got no bid, one was withdrawn.

The chestnut filly Verôme (by Vitalamour x Furstbischof) was the most expensive one, selling for 16,000 euro. A Spaniard bought colt Zodiac (by Zentinel x Fidertanz) for 11,500 euro.

A French client bought filly Violetta, who is by the French owned Vitalamour and out of a Dynamic Dream dam. The foal cost 10,000 euro.
