Salvatore became the best selling lot in the 2026 Hanoverian elite foal and broodmare auction which took place on 25 July 2026.
A collection of 92 horses was selected and 89 of them ended up in the live auction.
The bay colt Salvatore (by Secret x Don Martillo) was most wanted and sold for 34,000 euro to the U.S.A. He is bred by ZG Grobe. A bidding duel between Spaniards and Americans ended up in favour of the latter.
The second most expensive horse in the collection was broodmare Viva la Vida MR (by Von und Zu x Dancier) which sold for 24,500 euro to Bavaria.
The second most expensive foal was Burana (by Bonds x De Niro) which fetched 20,000 euro, just like Vendero (by Venturo x Benicio).

Dantino (by Dante Weltino x Feedback) fetched 10,000 euro. A French client bought Franziska (by For Romance x Von Und Zu) for 9,750 euro and Khloe (by Krugerrand x Feinrich) for 5,250 euro.
Brits bought Fiorenzo (by Feliciano x Rubin Royal) and Severino (by Segantini Due x Furst Belissaro) for 9,750 and 7,000 euro. Deschamps (by Donation PS x Dancier) for 6,750.
An Italian secured Velvet Rose (by Vitalamour x For Romance) for 9,250 euro. Also going to the USA are Bente (by Be Sure x Rubin Royal) for 7,750 euro and Belfort (by Bloomingdale x Furstbischof) for 4,500 euro.

The average price for a foal in this auction was 7,348 euro according to the Hanoverian society.
