-- FEI press release, the Eurodressage report follows on Sunday
Charlotte Fry (GBR) and Glamourdale retained their World Championship Freestyle title with a spectacular, mistake-free performance that earned 91.907% this evening Saturday 15 August 2026 in Aachen (GER).
Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St John Freestyle took silver with a personal-best 91.236%, while home favourite Isabell Werth (GER) and Wendy claimed bronze on 88.650%.
“It’s unbelievable,” Fry said after winning her gold medal. “This was the test of a lifetime. This is so cool – he gave me so much confidence.”
The victory means Fry and Glamourdale have retained both the Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle titles they won at the FEI Dressage World Championship in Herning (DEN) in 2022.
Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St John Freestyle produced a mistake-free test to finish just 0.671 percentage points behind the champions. Werth and Wendy completed the podium with 88.650%, despite an error in the two-tempi changes. She edged out European champion Justin Verboomen (BEL) by a hair (88.439%).
