The champions of tomorrow start with a promising foal. On Saturday 5 September, De Droomhoeve in Grootebroek will be dedicated to dressage breeding as Prinsjesdag Foal Auction presents a carefully selected collection of 37 dressage foals. Auctioneer Koen Olaerts will take to the rostrum for an evening showcasing foals with presence, outstanding movement and pedigrees closely connected to international dressage sport.
Each year, Prinsjesdag Foal Auction sets out to select foals with the potential to develop into successful sport horses. For the 2026 edition, performance potential was once again at the heart of the selection process. The selection committee looked beyond movement and conformation, placing particular emphasis on pedigree, dam lines and the sporting achievements of close relatives.
Proven performance bloodlines
Several pedigrees in this year’s collection immediately catch the eye. Among the highlights is a foal by V-Power from the direct dam line of Perfect Ritme. Also included in the collection is a foal by Radetsky H out of Grand Prix mare Esther SVN, bringing proven performance at the highest level directly through the dam.
Another exciting prospect is a foal out of the dam of Mauro Turfhorst. With bloodlines such as these, Prinsjesdag Foal Auction once again offers interesting opportunities for buyers who value not only the quality of the individual foal, but also the strength and proven performance of its dam line.
