EQUITANA 2027: Ticket Sales Start - First Programme Highlights Confirmed

New formats, international stars and the HOP TOP Show “Anything for Love”: organiser RX gives a first look at the programme for EQUITANA 2027. Day tickets for the world's leading equestrian trade fair go on sale from 1 September.

The countdown to EQUITANA 2027 has started: from 18 to 24 March 2027, the equestrian world will once again come together at the Exhibition Centre Essen. The first programme details already give a taste of what visitors can look forward to: new cup concepts, the Professional Riders' Day and the Education Day, a breeders' evening, various theme days and the HOP TOP Show “Anything for Love”. A small spoiler: visitors can look forward to seeing several medallists from this year's World Championships in Aachen.

“EQUITANA 2027 stands for a fresh start: it brings people together, builds new networks and gives a stage to innovative impulses from the industry. That is exactly what already makes it so special to me,” says Sarah Lepsky, Exhibition Director of EQUITANA. “We want to involve the community more closely, encourage dialogue and develop new perspectives for equestrian sport together. EQUITANA should be the place where ideas are born, and the future of the industry is actively shaped.”

More space for knowledge, education and exchange

Learning something new, sharing experiences and getting into conversation with one another: EQUITANA 2027 is creating more space for exactly this. Monday (22 March) is dedicated to the Professional Riders' Day, while on Wednesday (24 March) the Education Day puts the spotlight on young talent and with it the professional future of the equestrian industry. The programme is rounded off by theme days that focus on and explore individual areas of the equestrian world in greater depth.

Breeding also gets its own dedicated slot with the planned breeders' evening on Monday (22 March). On the topic of health, EQUITANA is furthermore developing a new event format - more information on this will follow soon.

New cups and international stars

EQUITANA is also developing its sporting programme further. New cup concepts around driving, horsemanship and show jumping bring different disciplines and prominent names to the arena.

It creates space for encounters, professional exchange and new perspectives across national borders. We want to strengthen this connecting role further in 2027 and thereby set important impulses for the future of equestrian sport,” says Sarah Lepsky.

HOP TOP Show: love in all its facets

From Friday to Sunday, the main stage once again belongs to the HOP TOP Show. Under the title “Anything for Love”, in 2027 it will combine sport and show and once more put centre stage the idea that is part of EQUITANA's DNA: the love of the horse.

The HOP TOP Show also aims to bring different worlds together - sport and performance as well as breeding and the emotional bond between people and horses. In doing so, it appeals to long-standing equestrian fans just as much as to families and to people discovering the world of horses for the first time.

Day tickets for EQUITANA 2027 are available from 1 September. Further sales for the shows with reserved seating start in October. EQUITANA takes place from 18 to 24 March 2027 at the Exhibition Centre Essen.
