1999 Elite Auction of Hanoverian Foals and Broodmares
1999 - the year of jubilees of Verden Elite auctions. On the occassion of the 25th Elite Foal and Broodmare auction we are looking back on a quarter century of history of this internationally important event. 1975 - with the third year of existance of the new Niedersachsenhalle including sales and training centre - was one of the years in the Seventies where the growing interest of more and more people in horses could be discovered. By that, the Hanoverian breeders had the opportunity of establishing an excellent sales platform for their youngsters. Selected horses on riding horse auctions - sold at top prices - whether licensed stallions, valuable broodmares or successful sporthorses: all these are positively influencing the forthcoming most promising jubilee collection. On the cover picture you can follow the tracks of another successful equestrian career. In 1990 Condor M by Contender x Goldstern was purchased at DM 28,000 by Alfred Melchers. Later on, he became licensed stallion on Rheinsehlen stud farm and was schooled to perform in dressage competitions. Now he is successfully competing with Dr. Reiner Klimke on classical, advanced level dressage events.
