Der Dollar and Siegerland Price Highlights at 2003 Vechta Spezial Auktion

At the 35th Spezial Auktion for Oldenburg Sport horses and foals, sport horse Siegerland and foal Der Dollar were the price highlights of the day.

Greenlands Farm in Great Britain purchased the 4-year old bay mare Siegerland (Sion x Landadel x Pik Trumpf) for 20,000 €. The mare, who is bred by H-G. Rosenstengel from Kettenkamp, Germany, will became the stable mate of another Vechta horse, Eifelturm. The black mare Diavolezza, by Day Dream x Carprilli x Kojander, was sold for 7,500 € to a student of former Olympic rider Martin Schaudt.

Two sport horses were sold abroad. The dark bay gelding Daland, by De Niro x Landadel is moving to Mexico for 8,500 €, while Sir Cloppenburg, a bay gelding by Sion x Contender who is the full brother to licensing champion Sir Oldenburg, was sold to Belgium for 8,000 €.

Much more interest was shown for the foal collection. Joan Sims of Highlife Farms in Orlando, Florida, bought the full brother of her top dressage horse Der Euro. The chestnut foal Der Dollar (Don Schufro x Wanderer) was sold for the top knock down price of 35,000 €.

Second most expensive foal was the 21,000 € worthy Rosenfreund (by Rubin Royal x Contender). The Austrian dressage rider Peter Gmoser purchased two foals. Raver King (Rohdiamant x Don Gregory) and Relli's Boy (Relevant x Don Gregory) will moved to the Austrian Alps when they are weaned.
