Sternenfänger, Price Highlight at 2005 Vechta Elite Foal Auction

Former Olympic gold medallist Sissy Max-Theurer has purchased the price highlight of the 4th Elite Foal Auction in Vechta, Germany. Max Theurer paid 45,000 euro for the dark bay colt Sternenfänger (by Sir Donnerhall x Figaro). The Oldenburg colt is bred by Hergen Schröder and will move to Schloss Achleiten in Austria.

French Oldenburg aficionado Xavier Marie acquired Final Lover (Florencio x Sandro Hit) for the second highest knock down price of 38,000 euro. Five Star, a Florencio x Sandro Hit colt bred by Alwin Rolfes, was bought by Cok Mudde of Magic Stables in The Netherlands for 34,000 euro. The Danish stallion station Blue Horse purchased a Dimaggio x Diego Maradonna colt for 25,000 euro.

The average price for a foal at the Vechta Elite Auction was 9,353 euro. Twenty-one foals sold abroad.
