The chestnut licensed stallion Lexus (by Londonderry x Weltmeyer) became the price highlight of the 2005 Autumn Elite Auction of Hanoverian sport horses in Verden. With an auction sales price of 260,000 euro, the stallion lead the price scale. Buyers from France won the thrilling bidder’s duel for Lexus, who is bred by Andrea Eilfort-Böcker from Ankum and presented by Klaus Kamps from Cuxhaven.
Donny M (pictured right) by Don Frederico x Weltmeyer was the runner-up on the price scale. He sold for 200,000 euro to a professional show stable in North Rhine-Westphalia. Dantonisius, the 3-year old Don Crusador x Weltmeyer gelding that won the 2005 Bundeschampionate and who was in the auction collection, was withdrawn from the auction. Dantonisius is owned by the Swedish Birgitta Kjellin and, therefore, did not sell in Verden.
There were several prospective buyers interested in the colt Santos (by Sandro Hit x Lauries Crusador xx), but again a French buyer went all the way to acquire this Helmut Heidmeyer breeding product. Santos sold to France for 52,000 euro.
Step by Step, by Sandro Hit out of a Weltmeyer-dam was the second most expensive foal, selling to Austria for 31,000 euro.
The average auction sales price was 33, 286 euro, which is hitherto the second best result achieved at an Autumn Elite Auction in Verden. Nearly 60% of the horses will be exported, most of them (11) to the United States. The foals were sold at an average price of Euro 7,679 euro and 50% of them sold abroad. Mainly customers from Great Britain were ready to invest in Hanoverian youngstock.
