The Dutch Equestrian Federation announced that Laurens van Lieren and Hexagon's Olright will not be competing at the CDIO Rotterdam, a show that counts as Dutch selection trial for the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen.
"My horse has fully recovered from the minor injury he sustained and he's back in full training, but the CDIO Rotterdam is just a bit too soon for us," Laurens van Lieren said. "My route [to WEG qualification] will be via a smaller show in Hickstead, England, at the end of next month. I want to have my horse optimally prepared for a start there."
The rest of the Dutch A-team will be competing in Rotterdam, though. Anky's is riding Salinero, Edward Gal will be aboard Lingh and Dutch champion Imke Schellekens is presenting Sunrise in Rotterdam. Also competing for Holland are Kirsten Beckers with Broere Jazz and Montecristo, Marlies van Baalen with Relevant, as well as Alex van Silfhout on Nimbly and Patricia Callaghan on Joy.
