Former Dutch FEI Pony Team Member Laurens Sliepenbeek and S&A Stables have purchased the KWPN stallion Nourejev from owner Sietse van Dellen.

The 12-year old Dutch warmblood licensed stallion competed at international small tour level under Edward Gal.

"I'm very happy with Nourejev," Sliepenbeek stated in a press release. "He is very well trained by Edward Gal and I can learn much from this horse. Of course, we still have to become a combination, but I hope I can compete him soon. I trust that it will work soon with the help of my steady trainers Hans and Cora Arends, as well as with the help of Nicole Werner who knows Nourejev to the bone."

Nourjev is bred by Mr. Jansma and is by Cocktail out of Badette (by Ramiro). Sliepenbeek was a multiple medal winning pony rider for The Netherlands aboard the German bred pony Hoby. His pony went to a new rider in the autumn and Sliepenbeek is making the transition to junior riders.
