Don Rochelle, Price Highlight of 2007 NRW Summer Auction

The dark bay gelding Don Rochelle became the price highlight of the 2007 NRW Summer Auction "Handorf Extra" in Munster, Germany, on 20th May 2007. 

The price highlight was Don Rochelle, a 5-year old Dollmann x Pit I offspring. Bred by Antonius Schulze-Averdiek and presented by the British Gary Holloway, Don Rochelle sold for 77,000 euro.

The second most expensive horse was Fascinato, a 3-year old black stallion by Furst Heinrich x Funke. He sold for 50,000 euro. Designer, a chestnut gelding by D'Accord x Foxtrott sold for 42,000 euro. Feiner Henry, by Furst Piccolo x Pinocchio sold for the same amount.

Twenty-eight foals were sold at auction. The price highlight was the filly Flavienne, by Flavio x Faschingsprinz, who sold for 8,000 euro. The bay colt Fortunat (Florestan x Federball) sold for 7,000 euro.  He is bred by Karl-Hermann Alt, Neustadt 

Three riding ponies were sold. The highest knock down price was achieved by Dr. Doolittle, a grey gelding by Danny Gold x Nedo, who sold for 6,000 euro.

Fifty-two Westfalian branded sport horses were presented at auction and achieved an average price of 13,431 euro.
